My mind must currently be in a bad place, I find "Getting pounded" to be quite amusing.
- Game: Bored Meeting
- Developer: Steven Jones
- Price: 80MS Points ($1.00)
- Release Date: 2/25/2009
Bored Meeting has a lot in common with ChuChu Rocket!, which happens to be a good thing. The game plays a lot like the classic Dreamcast title and is enjoyable when playing with friends. The problem with Bored Meeting is that it features no true single-player experience; you can only play the multi-player mode by yourself.
The general gameplay consists of placing arrows on the board in order to direct dollar bills to your “goal”. It’s fun and the office theme has a nice charm to it, but the lack of any type of single-player mode (or even online multi-player) kills the game. While the game is fun to play with friends, it’s hard to fully recommend when friends are actually needed to enjoy the game.
If you have friends readily available then you’ll probably have a blast with Bored Meeting. The game is very customizable and features a nice bit of strategy. If I was only judging this game based on its multi-player, I’d have no problem recommending it. The bottom line is that I have to judge this game from all angles and in doing so, the game doesn’t end up as a must-buy.
