It may not be pretty, but it's actually pretty fun.

Asphalt Jungle is from the same developer of Astro Taxi, which is a game I really disliked. Asphalt Jungle isn’t much prettier, but at least this game is actually fun. The visuals could use some work, but the core gameplay is fun and addicting and that’s always the most important part.
The gameplay is rather simple. It’s basically a Pipe Dream-esque game where you need to keep a car from crashing by connecting pieces of road. One interesting aspect that I personally don’t remember seeing in other similar games is that when a road is used; it then disappears for a specific amount of time. It’s not the most elaborate twist, but it adds a bit of strategy and gives the game a tad more challenge. I also like the fact that the map is fully connected, allowing you to connect a road on the top of the screen with a road on the bottom of the screen.
The joy of Asphalt Jungle is in the constant desire to best your high score. It becomes addicting and makes it easy to lose track of time. It’s not the greatest game and it can be overly frustrating for some, but it’s still a fun game and worthy of at least a trial. I really enjoyed the game and I’d love to give it a higher score, but I still can’t overlook the poor visuals.
