Avatar Wave: Snowball Fight is one of the many recent Avatar games and it just so happens to be one of the best Avatar games I’ve played. Snowball Fight is essentially a dodgeball game with snowballs instead of big, red, rubber balls. Nothing is more important than the gameplay and luckily, the game is fun and comes with a good amount of options.
Snowball Fight plays how you’d expect; you get to store up to three snowballs and throw them with power or at a rapid pace. It’s a great use of Avatars (where are the XBLA Avatar games?) and it’s packed full of content; there’s an Arcade mode and a Survivor mode, as well as offline multi-player and play over Xbox Live. My only negativity is that Survivor mode is awfully brutal and not much fun to play.
All I can say is Snowball Fight is a great game and one of those games I think every Xbox 360 owner should buy. It’s good enough to compete with full-fledged XBLA titles and it does it all for only three buckaroos. If you don’t buy this game, you’ll only have yourself to blame. I’ll leave you with this ultimatum: buy this game or I’ll mail you a cooler full of yellow snow!
