XBL Indies: Office DisOrders Review

Do you see where that arrow is pointing? That's where this game is headed...

Office DisOrders tries to make the boring everyday life of the common man (actually, you play as a woman in DisOrders) enjoyable, but it ultimately fails. DisOrders does do a good job at recreating the boringness of work, but it ends up just as boring as real work, if not more so. The game is never fun, always tedious, and falls flat on every joke; it was literally painful to play as it ended up giving me a migraine.

The game plays similar to The Sims (apparently the developer worked on The Sims console team at one point), but it’s on a much smaller scale. You just deal with tedious work objectives while maintaining your stress level by eating, drinking, sleeping, and relieving your bowels. The game just ends up forcing you to do the same things over and over again and tries to make you find it funny with terrible jokes, but I never found any aspect of this game to be funny or enjoyable at all.

I can’t recommend DisOrders to anyone. It’s a terrible game that doesn’t even deserve to be called a game because that somehow implies there’s actual fun to be found in the game. While most bad games will only take a few minutes of your time and maybe give you a laugh or two; DisOrders will waste hours of your life if you play it to completion and none of that time will ever be enjoyable.
