I predicted the future: GameFly hates me

Did you listen to the latest episode of Pixelated Radio yet--do so right now if you haven't--well, if you did, you know I talked about GameFly and how they have never sent me a game in the top 5 of my Q, not once. I also predicted the next game they would send me: My #10, Power Rangers Super Samurai. Well, call me psychic, incredible, the "one," or all three, because I was right; Power Rangers Super Samurai is on its way to my humble abode and I cannot wait to play such an amazing (?) game. (Seriously, why does GameFly hate me so much?)

Forza Horizon "1000 Club Expansion Pack" available now

Forza Horizon came out last year in the fall to overall positive reviews--though some found the more casual system a disappointing change--and now the game has received a massive DLC pack featuring two new cars--the 1956 Ford F100 and the 1995 RUF CTR2--and 1,000 new challenges, all for the low, low price of free! Microsoft is known for "forcing" (or heavily suggesting) companies to charge at least something when releasing DLC on their platform--which is often true--so it's both odd and nice to see such an abundance of content released for free by Microsoft themselves, additional achievements included.

I loved Forza Horizon and I look forward to jumping back in, immediately becoming overwhelmed by a slew of dots screaming, "Pick me! Pick me!" If you still haven't tried Forza Horizon, now is a great time to pick up the game and give it a shot; if you like it, you'll have more content than you will know what to do with. Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' for 04/16 - 04/22/13

This week’s Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' features a hodgepodge or arcade titled, old and new, from 50 to 75% off. The one new game on sale of the bunch is Black Knight Sword--the second game from the collaboration between Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality--and the rest have all been on sale before, but usually at a higher price. If you somehow haven't picked up the second Geometry Wars game, you have no excuse anymore as it's only 200 MS points! (That's only $2.50!) Now is the time to stop reading and start saving.

Pixelated Radio 52: Where Luigi Defies Guacamelee!

I usually write cheeky things here as I like making myself laugh (and possibly you too), but I can't bring myself to write such things with what has happened in Boston today--"Live Updates on Explosions at the Boston Marathon". And so all I will leave you with is something I posted earlier on other various corners of the web: It's easy to look at what happened in Boston and see the hate that created it, but don't forget about all the love that is now filling it.

It's a short show this week and it starts with Rob talking about his time visiting friends in Kansas and then jumps back into formula, a.k.a., "What We've Been Playing," followed by some movies, TV shows, and news--like the Next Xbox/Twitter/Always Online nonsense. Free Meat Friday - Dungeons of Dredmor (Steam)

The "free meat" prize today is a copy of Dungeons of Dredmor and the "Realm of the Diggle Gods" DLC pack on Steam. Dungeons of Dredmor is an awesome rougelike with a nice sense of humor and great, simple gameplay. I'm still waiting for the game to make its way to iPad already, but until then I'll continue enjoying it on PC and now you can too, that is, if you happen to win. Best of all, it's a Steamplay title and works on PC, Mac, and Linux. Yay!
