PSP #345: Persona 4 the Animation, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, For Honor, and Flywrench

Marc takes time out of their hectic schedule today, which included an always terrible visit to the dentist, to review a couple of older anime—Persona 4 the Animation and Tasogare Otome x Amnesia (Dark Maiden of Amnesia)—and preview a few video games, including For Honor and Flywrench, which is the latest game from Messhof, the developers of Nidhogg. Cheers and enjoy the show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy jam on Amazon too.

Pixelated Radio 127: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR, Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1, Mafia III, and Much More

Today's episode is extra, extra special 'cause we have not only a full crew, but Rich's better half, Thomigirl, who joined them to talk about Gears of War 4 and more, like Gilmore Girls 'cause apparently people really like Gilmore Girls, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Today's episode starts off with a bit of VR talk before hitting some news, including some new movie trailers and the official announcement of Nintendo's next console: The Nintendo Switch. After all that, the hosts talk about a whole lotta games, including some Gears, some Battlefield, some Call of Duty, and much more; and don't worry, they do talk about a few games that don't involve shooting this or that in the face. And then, before ending with pluggy plugs, they talk about DC's CW TV universe. Anyway, there's way more than just that on today's show, so sit back, relax, cheers and enjoy the show!

So, now that you have a general idea of what's on today's show, please go listen and, if you haven't already, rate/review and subscribe to the show on iTunes (and tell your friends too). Anyway, I do hope you enjoy the show and, won't you do us a kindness and be our favorite neighbor by rating us on iTunes? (Please do.) And if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little money or subscribe to show your support for the site and show(s), it's not free to host the site, the show; to make and record videos, and everything in between. You can also support the site by shopping at Amazon. Thanks regardless and have a lovely day.

Pixelated Radio 118: Nintendo Hate and Delays, Overwatch, Battleborn, The Park, Captain America: Civil War, Game of Thrones, and Much More

Today's show was all about Cory because CORY IS BACK, baby! (But that means Rich was not on today's show because we can never have a full crew anymore; also, Rich was actually being a good guy, celebrating Mother's Day instead of recording a podcast.) Anyway, on this day all about mothers, the hosts talk only about games about mothers (not true) and that hot new movie, Mother's Day (also, not true); seriously, though, they talk about the new Call of Duty and Battlefield trailers, the latest Nintendo news, Overwatch, Battleborn, Captain America: Civil War, and much more. Cheers, happy Mother's Day, and we hope y'all enjoy the show.

RYB Review (iOS)

RYB is making me feel awfully stupid and this may come as a surprise, but I don't like feeling stupid. I don't like being thrown into a puzzle without directions, forced to solve it on my own with not even the slightest clue as to how I can do it, and that's what RYB does. I've played the game for about thirty minutes now, cleared ten puzzles, and still don't know what I'm doing; it hasn't clicked and I keep hoping, with each new puzzle, some switch in me will turn on and, suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, I'll get it, but that's still not the case and I don't know how much more time I want to spend feeling stupid before enough is enough.

And just like that, after taking a break from writing this to play a wee bit more, I finally get it. It's quite simple and fairly obvious, making me feel stupid in a completely different way, but I don't think that excuses the horrible first impression RYB gave me, especially for a mobile game, which, more so than ever, are quite disposable these days--there are so many mobile games coming out each and every day that, if a game doesn't grab one's attention immediately, it's very easy to just delete it and move onto a new one, something I was so close to doing with RYB, until it clicked--however, even though I finally get it, I can't recommend a game that throws the player into the middle of the ocean without a life raft, turning its back while saying, "Don't scream for help, just figure it out on your own."
