Pixelated Radio 102: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Rare Replay, Beyond Eyes, Super Mega Baseball, Pixels, and Much More

This week's episode features a full cast except for Marc--who isn't there due to family...stuff--so it actually isn't full at all, but at least the one missing is the worst one, so it's all good. Anyway, the show begins with Rob talkin' about his trip to good ol' Kansas, visiting friends and making fun of the fact that Marc isn't there...again...and then they move onto what they've been playing--including something old, something new, and something that blew their expectations away (maybe). Also, someone saw Pixels for some reason that probably doesn't make any sense, but at least they didn't see Fantastic Four eh. Blah, blah, blah, enjoy the show or whatever.

So, now that you have a general idea of what's on today's show, please go listen and, if you haven't already, rate/review and subscribe to the show on iTunes (and tell your friends too). Anyway, I do hope you enjoy the show and, won't you do us a kindness and be our favorite neighbor by rating us on iTunes? (Please do.) And if you're feeling extra generous, donate a little money or subscribe to show your support for the site and show(s), it's not free to host the site, the show; to make and record videos, and everything in between. You can also support the site by shopping at Amazon. Thanks regardless and have a lovely rest of the day.

PSP #227: Free!: Eternal Summer / Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan / Mortal Kombat X / Gen Con

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show talkin' about Gen Con, Lollapalooza, and why they think the anime community is better than the tabletop community. After that, they drown in a preview of Free!: Eternal Summer--which they thought was the first season, then thought and talked about how it's actually the third season; though, it's actually (honestly) the second season, so they're stupid in three different ways. And then, after getting all that stupidity out of the way, they hit a handful of summer anime like always before ending with just a wee bit about Mortal Kombat X.

Anyway, that's it and that's all, folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, donate a little money or subscribe to show your support for the site and show(s); it's not free to host the site, the show, to make and record videos, and everything in between, so, anything would be greatly appreciated, even if you just tell a friend or two about the site and show(s). Y'all can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's what ya like. And, of course, many of the shows discussed (if not all) are on Crunchyroll and, if y'all haven't signed up for an account just yet, well, what are y'all waiting for?! PSP #195: Board Gaming with Sushi Go!, Ca$h 'n Guns, and More

In today's episode, Marc talks about the fast-paced card drafting game, Sushi Go!, the foam gun-pointing game, Ca$h 'n Guns, and more. And, if y'all listen to the whole episode, y'all will be "treated" with some extra special content at the end-end. You can also support the site by shopping at Amazon. Cheers, and have a lovely rest of the day. And if you're looking for solutions to the often horribly lacking internal storage inside board game boxes, Robert Searing creates some great-looking foam inserts y'all should check out (foam > wood).

PSP #194: Board Gaming with Abyss, 5Pax - Fast Dice Games, Metal Gaming Coins, and More

In today's episode, Marc talks about the set collection-heavy board game, Abyss, from Asmodee, 5Pax--which is a collection of ten different, fast-paced dice games--a currently running Kickstarter for metal gaming coins, and more. And y'all will surely notice a slight change to the way the show is put together, so, if you like it or hate it, please let it be known. Review: Francis Drake | A Voyage Worth Repeating

When you first look at Francis Drake fully set up, the massive amount of beautiful components may make the game seem overwhelming. Don't be fooled; while there is a lot of deep strategy and interesting choices to be made, the gameplay is very straightforward.

In Francis Drake, players take turns advancing down the street of Plymouth, collecting various resources--like crew members, guns, trade goods, etc--you'll need in order to go on your voyage; however, once a player advances down the road, they cannot backtrack to a location they skipped--I really enjoy this aspect of the game. For example, if I desperately need to upgrade my ship from a frigate to a galleon and the Queen space is the only spot left to do so, I'll have a tough choice to make if she's a few locations down; do I skip over acquiring other resources I might need, or wait and hope the other players don't take the Queen before it gets back to my turn?
