DF# 48: We Have an Absence of Poo

We're back for another week of utter awesomeness, mostly thanks to the "poo-mans" absence. That's right, this week you're stuck with only Rob and Kush whether you like it or not! We start off the show, like every other week, with "What We've Been Playing" and I get interrupted by the phone call that never dies. We talk about Wheelman, Ninja Blade, Peggle on XBLA, Crystal Defenders, Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Killzone 2 (yet again), and plenty more.

After "What We've Been Playing", we jump into a little gaming news including the Nintendo DS breaking 100M world-wide sales, as well as Bioshock 2 speculation. We then go into "The Sausage Dump", which is our new segment dedicated to all things not related to video games. This week's Sausage Dump revolves around our thoughts on the Watchmen film and how Rob is completely wrong and smoking too much crack. We end the show with the "Question of the Week" and discuss why game-to-movie and movie-to-game adaptations rarely work (and if that trend will ever stop).

Podcast - DF #47: Killzone 2 = Greatest FPS Ever

At least that's what fellow podcaster Rob has to say on the subject of Killzone 2. The DF crew is back with returning guest, TheGamerGeek, and a bunch of nonsense to discuss. We start off the show with what we've been playing, which include: Killzone 2 (obviously), Afro Samurai, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, WWE: Legends of WrestleMania, Watchmen: The End is Nigh, and much more.

We follow that up with some discussion on the recent used game explosion via Best Buy, Toys 'R Us, and Amazon, which leads to an interesting conversation on the good, the bad, and the ugly side of Gamestop. We finish off the show with the never-ending question that plagues this industry..."Are games art?" We give our answers, but you're just going to have to listen in order to find out.

DF #46: One Year in the Making

It's been one year since the first episode of Distributed Failure. We've gone through a few changes and potentially killed ourselves numerous times, but we managed to survive through 46 episodes (and a few special editions). We start off this episode like any other show, with user questions and what we've been playing.

We discuss Afro Samurai, Killzone 2, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, Street Fighter IV, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, and much more. We try to find words to describe the PSN game, Noby Noby Boy, but we only end up with references to floppy cocks...and no, I don't mean chickens. I'm actually referring to those little things you use when playing badminton. After we finish up with the penis talk, we reminisce on all our good (and bad) memories of our hated podcast. We also announce the winner of our contest, but you'll have to listen to see if you're the lucky winner!

• DF #46: One Year in the Making

I would like to take this time to remind people that the charity drive is almost finished. You only have until this Saturday to donate any money you may be willing to spare for Child's Play. I appreciate those who have already donated, but there is room for so much more. Thanks.

...I also apologize for the lack of content in the past week. I've been rather busy and haven't had much time to update the site, not to mention the fact I wanted people to focus their attention on this charity drive. Expect more updates soon, including a few overdo reviews. I want this.
