Ghostbusters: The Game - First Impressions

This won’t come as a surprise, but Ghostbusters: The Game was made specifically for fans of the film (and its sequel). The game can still be enjoyable for those unfamiliar with the franchise, but the real joy comes from seeing our favorite characters kick some ghost booty after such a long absence. I’m not saying that the gameplay isn’t fun, but it’s definitely not the strength of this game.

Podcast - DF #63: Rob Overlording On Halo

Halo the pug to be more specific. This week's episode sees the return of an original member of Distributed Failure: Phil! The angry man from Indiana is back to hate on all the things you love, like bunnies and prostitutes!

This week's "What We've Been Playing" features many games including Overlord II, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Rocket Riot, Droplitz, Tenchu Z, Lego Batman, and the Point Lookout DLC for Fallout 3. We follow that up with some gaming news including the acquisition of id Software by ZeniMax (parent company of Bethesda Softworks), the sales of FFVII on PSN, and the announcement that GTA: Chinatown Wars will be coming to the PSP. We end the show with the Sausage Dump and a very, very special surprise guest...you will not be disappointed with the awesomeness of this fine man!

It seems that this is a perfect week to discuss Trash Panic due to the fact that this is one trashy episode of Distributed Failure. This week's episode is particularly crappy (and short) and isn't even worth pimping. If you're interested in making your ears bleed then I highly recommend you listen to this here piece of poop!

We start off the show unenthusiastically with "What We've Been Playing" just like any other episode. We talk about Prototype, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Trash Panic, Gunstar Heroes, Peggle: Dual Shot, and more. We follow that up with the shortest news segment in recent memory, basically consisting of the rumors that "Project Natal" is actually the next Xbox. We end the show with a sausage dump featuring my dislike for the HBO series True Blood. I hope you live through this episode and please be kind in your reviews on iTunes.
