Steam Holiday Daily Deal: 12/30/11, a meaty revolution

Today's Steam daily deals for December 30th are nice, but some could have been found cheaper elsewhere earlier in the week—i.e Deus Ex at $10 on Amazon, and able to be activated on Steam. That said, deals are missed and some people just prefer going through Steam and if that is the case for you; well then, today has some pretty good deals for some games I really love. And when I say love, I mean I would go all the way with them on prom night if I had the chance.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favorite games on 2011 and is worth paying full price, so any sale is a deal in my eyes. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena delivered a decent new campaign, but the original game (included) is still fantastic and is way better than even Pitch Black—it's Vin Diesel's greatest work after The Pacifier. Civilization V is more Civilization and a bit more accessible—which some had a problem with, but I am not one of some. My last bit of personal pimpage goes out to Driver San Fracisco; though I didn't play much, I've only heard great things and how can you say no to a game where you're in a coma? Links and blah, blah, blah blehlow.

Grand Theft Auto V officially announced

You know, I really thought they were going to stop after Grand Theft Auto IV, but I guess I was wrong. Sarcasm aside, this is pleasing news and now let's all say, "Grand Theft Chicago." If you're looking for more details, none exist, other than this image covering Rockstar Games' front page.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD on sale now

I have started putting up little posts about games going on sale because when I think about it, I don't have a reason not to post about a sale for a game/product I love. The sale today is Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD—the iPad version—which has dropped to its lowest price to date: $2.99. I am a huge fan of this game and loved it on DS, PSP, and even found it quite playable on iOS. At merely three dollars, I don't see a reason for iPad owners to pass unless they never enjoyed the series. And to end this with something horrible, the only grand theft here is you paying only $2.99 for this great game. What?! It was such an obvious choice and I really couldn't help myself. Okay, that is a complete and utter lie. I could have totally helped myself.

Memorable Gaming Moment 2001: Grand Theft Auto III

2001 was an amazing year for gaming; it may have been the greatest year of all time. The list of games is staggering: Final Fantasy X, Gran Turismo 3, Devil May Dry, Ico, Silent Hill 2, Jak & Daxter, Halo, Metal Gear Solid 2, Sonic Adventure 2, Twisted Metal: Black… I could go on for a while, but I don’t want to bore you. The year also gave us two brand new consoles: the Gamecube and the Xbox. It’s hard to think of a year that featured more content than 2001, but none of what I mentioned is more memorable than one key game: Grand Theft Auto III.
