The Sausage Dump: New and Improved - More Sausage

You may have noticed that things have been quiet on the ‘Sausage of Pixelation’ recently. This is due to my departure from Distributed Failure and crunch-time at school. But, the biggest reason for the lack of content is due to the birthing of a new podcast of my own: The Sausage Dump. Yes, that is the name of an old podcast about everything but video games. But, since I am a God, I have turned The Sausage Dump into a podcast all about video games.

Pixelated Sausage Grows a Fourth Ball

A giant explosion leaves just one thing: balls.

I would like to be the first to welcome our newest staff member: skooljester. He’s joining the writing side of the team and I’m looking forward to seeing what he brings to the sausage. Many of you may know him from the boards and our tiny community, but if not; I think you’ll get to know him rather well in due time.

Bite Down on a Dragon's Sausage [Update]

This is without a doubt the greatest collector's edition that's ever existed...if only it were real. Seriously, who wouldn't want some delicious sausage in their collector's edition?

Update: The video was taken down...I guess it was just too much sausage for most to handle.

The E3 Plans

E3 begins today in case you somehow managed to miss memo. What are the plans for Distributed Failure (and Pixelated Sausage) during E3 you ask. The plan is to do a show each day of E3 and post them on the same day of recording. These episodes will likely be shorter than usual, probably running about 30-45 minutes. We will have a "real" show coming out this weekend, along with a very special guest if everything goes according to plan. I'm quite excited for E3 this year and hopefully you are too!

Now it's time for some sausage discussion. I'm finally getting to the point where I'm going to have a lot of free time to get back to writing on a consistent basis. My first post not relating to the podcast will be a review of Up (the film, not the game). I have also finished putting together The Craplop EP1: Two Worlds, but since I will be using the same feed as DF; I won't be uploading the episode until sometime next week. I don't want people to get confused while looking for DF and I also don't want to see The Craplog get lost in all these E3 shenanigans.

I also have some ideas that may bring about a lot of changes to the site, but those would be way down the road at the moment. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the extra abundance of Distributed Failure this week and now let's rock the biznitch that is E3! Sorry, I couldn't help but throw in a little rhyme at the end.

Craplog Delay: You'll Have to Wait

You know me, I can't stop myself from rhyming when given the opportunity, much like Gus Yoo and his love for da pee pee! I Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Craplog will likely not make it's scheduled debut this week due to my nitpicky ass. It's taking a bit longer right now just because I am trying to make sure it is...well...what I want it to be. This inaugural episode is also featuring discussion on the idea behind the show and what to expect in the future, among other items of interest. There is also the possibility that Craplog will change from a standalone show, to a segment of a grander, "epicererer" podcast.

Anyway, if the show does in fact miss its release this week, you can expect to see it next week and I guarantee it! Just know that Craplog may become part of what I'll currently just call "The Pixelated Sausagecast" and if this were to happen, it would consist of at least three different segments, those being:

  • Craplog: A segment where I go back in time (maybe even only a few months) to play and discuss those amazingly horrible games in ways that will make your ears bleed! ie. Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness
  • XNA Sausage of the Week/Month: A segment where I highlight one XNA Community game that is actually an awesome game and well worth your measly few bucks. I may also add in an "XNA Craplog" portion that essentially does the same thing for an amazingly awful XNA game.
  • The Sausage Dump: This will be a segment dedicated to any discussion not relating to video games in anyway, such as film, music, comics, or fresh Sicilian-baked goods!

...This is all a work in progress, but keep in mind that no matter what happens, this show will still only come out either once a month, or possibly once every two weeks if you're lucky. I know that no one out there is interested in any of this except for moi right here, but hopefully this show will be something unique and different enough to warrant your time.

Thanks

P.S. I've also been flirting with the idea of upgrading the site and moving away from Blogger, but the money I would be spending and the people who would actually care doesn't quite equal out...so I think I'm just going to stick it out with Blogger indefinitely. Expect more posting and more rumblings very soon!
