Review: Puzzwords (XBL Indies)

  • Game: Puzzwords
  • Developer: Mr Brian
  • Price: 80MS Points ($1.00)
  • Release Date: 6/7/2009

Puzzwords is a puzzle game with words. Could I be any more obvious? Probably not, but I am just trying to be loquacious and pass the time. Getting to the point, Puzzwords is essentially Columns meets Scrabble. Blocks of three letters drop from the top [intentionally embarrassing rhyme] and you can flip or rotate said blocks to create words of three to five letters. Puzzwords delivers an enjoyable experience with plenty of modes to satisfy all tastes.

XBL Indies: Office DisOrders Review

Do you see where that arrow is pointing? That's where this game is headed...

Office DisOrders tries to make the boring everyday life of the common man (actually, you play as a woman in DisOrders) enjoyable, but it ultimately fails. DisOrders does do a good job at recreating the boringness of work, but it ends up just as boring as real work, if not more so. The game is never fun, always tedious, and falls flat on every joke; it was literally painful to play as it ended up giving me a migraine.

XBL Indies: Avatar Run Review

First: I'm not racist... Second: ...but how could a black man be outrun by a couple of white women?!

Avatar Run uses Avatars. That is a true statement, but sadly that’s the only positive thing I can say. Avatar Run is nothing but a button-mashing mini-game that isn’t any fun. If you want a game that makes you look like you’re feverishly masturbating in your gaming chair; Avatar Run will be perfect for you. Everyone else should stay far away and forget this game even exists.

XBL Indies: Avatar Wave: Snowball Fight Review

A great game and one of the best uses of Avatars to date.

Avatar Wave: Snowball Fight is one of the many recent Avatar games and it just so happens to be one of the best Avatar games I’ve played. Snowball Fight is essentially a dodgeball game with snowballs instead of big, red, rubber balls. Nothing is more important than the gameplay and luckily, the game is fun and comes with a good amount of options.

XBL Indies: Bible Navigator X: HCSB Review

It's a virtual bible. ...if you're waiting for a punchline; better drink some Red Bull and Mountain Dew.

Bible Navigator X: HCSB is a virtual bible for the Xbox 360. You already know what you’re getting and there’s not much I can add. If you really feel the need for a bible you can read on your TV and navigate with your Xbox 360 controller; this will be perfect for you, though I can’t help but wonder why this even exists.
