Attack the Backlog #5: Castlevania

Updated on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 12:00PM by Registered CommenterMarc Kusnierz

In episode five of Attack the Backlog, Marc whips their way through the original Castlevania, going a little bit crazy thanks to a seemingly infinite amount of ferocious Fleamen and menacing Medusa Heads. But do not fear, for save states are here, and boy oh boy did they save Marc from going completely crazy this year. Castlevania originally came out on the NES way back in 1987, when Marc was nothing but a dumb little one-year-old. Anyway, something-something buggy and making me want a huggy, cheers and enjoy the show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy your favorite blueberry jam on Amazon too.

PSP #554: Hitman 2 Elusive Target, Fallout 76, Farming Simulator 19

On today's show, Marc talks about more Hitman 2, this time focusing on their time taking out the first elusive target and what they think of elusive targets in general. After that, they talk about Fallout 76, Farming Simulator 19, and end with everyone's favorite topic (because Marc's a liar): Dragon Ball Z. Anyway, something-something limited and dim-witted, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly janky) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. PSP #553: Hitman 2, Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics

On today's show, Marc talks about more Hitman 2, specifically their time with the Miami level, "The Finish Line," as well as Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics, a turn-based strategy game that's just...okay. In addition to all that, Marc talks about more Dragon Ball nonsense, possibly for the last time, and a great little movie from 1969: Support Your Local Sheriff. Anyway, something-something strategic and collegiate 'cause it kind of rhymes with strategic, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly dubbed) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. PSP #552: I Hit Men Too

On today's show, Marc talks about Hitman 2 and a handful of movies because there isn't much else to talk about, not that that's a bad thing given how great Hitman 2 is. Anyway, something-something stealthy and soon to be not-so-healthy, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly silent) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. PSP #551: Call Cthulhu If You Want to Party Hard

On today's show, Marc talks about X018, including Crackdown 3 and the acquisition of Obsidian Entertainment and InXile Entertainment by Microsoft. They also talk about Party Hard 2 and Call of Cthulhu, two very different games, one involving a lot of killing and one involving no killing at all (at least none so far). Anyway, something-something indifferent and belligerent, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly deadly) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. PSP #550: 2018 Game Awards Nominations

On today's show, Marc talks about the 2018 Game Awards nominations, what they'd like to see win, and what they expect to win, minus all the esports crap they know nothing about. They also talk about the amusement tax in Chicago and how it will affect digital purchases on the PlayStation store, which isn't all that amusing. Anyway, something-something preachy and breachy, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly strategic) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. PSP #549: Red Dead Redemption 2 Review

On today's show, Marc talks about Red Dead Redemption 2 for the last time, reviewing it in an extra rambling kind of way. In addition to all the cowboy talk, Marc also talks about Hitman Sniper Assassin, what it's like playing Call of Duty with their dad, and more Dragon Ball Z nonsense. Anyway, something-something shooty and root and tooty, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly way too long) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. Attack the Backlog #4: Mirror's Edge

Updated on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 12:00PM by Registered CommenterMarc Kusnierz

In episode four of Attack the Backlog, Marc runs and jumps and slides their way through the world of Mirror's Edge, a first-person parkour game where you play as Faith, a "runner" who delivers packages for those looking to avoid the watchful eye of the oppressive government. But things get messy when Faith's twin sister Kate is framed for murder and you, being the great sister you are, try and save her. Mirror's Edge originally came out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November of 2008 (and on PC a few months later), and is also backward compatible on Xbox One. Anyway, something-something jumpy and grumpy, cheers and enjoy the show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. PSP #548: Dabbling in the World of Kynseed

On today's show, Marc talks about Kynseed, a little game being made by a small team, including some of the folk who made the Fable games, currently in early access and in early access for good reason, but the foundation is there and it's full of potential. In addition to that, they also talk about more Red Dead Redemption 2, plenty of nonsense, and more Dragon Ball Z. Anyway, something-something charming and with farming, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly discounted) show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. PSP #547: My Favorite Sega Genesis Games

On today's show, Marc talks about Swap This! and Hardway Party, two fun little Switch games that, dare I say, are perfect for Switch (and more Red Dead Redemption 2 because, well, just 'cause). But the real meat and potatoes of today's show is dedicated to the Sega Genesis and some of Marc's favorite Genesis games. Anyway, something-something delightful and not-at-all insightful, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly nostalgic) show.
