PSP #230: More Windows 10 / More Kill la Kill / PGA Tour / Age of Reptiles: Ancient Egyptians

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show talkin' about Windows 10 some more--including what it's like streaming Xbox One games over Wi-Fi and why streaming in high quality may not be the best idea--and sings a little ditty for the small handful of people who were wondering what they sounded like. After that, Marc reviews Kill la Kill, talks about the 4-issue mini-series, Age of Reptiles: Ancient Egyptians--it's absolutely beautiful (just look at the header)--and hits a few random games and seasonal anime.

Anyway, that's it and that's all, folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, donate a little money or subscribe to show your support for the site and show(s); it's not free to host the site, the show, to make and record videos, and everything in between, so, anything would be greatly appreciated, even if you just tell a friend or two about the site and show(s). Y'all can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's what ya like. And, of course, many of the shows discussed (if not all) are on Crunchyroll and, if y'all haven't signed up for an account just yet, well, what are y'all waiting for?! PSP #229: Windows 10 / Kill la Kill / Robot Girls Z / 8House: Arclight

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show talkin' about Windows 10 after finally getting the upgrade on their main PC--including the awesome ability to stream Xbox One games to a PC (and how it's weird playing them with an Xbox 360 controller). After that, Marc talks about Kill la Kill, Robot Girls Z, that "delightful" pillow boys anime, and a few more seasonal shows before ending with a wee bit about the new comic, 8House: Arclight.

PSP #228: Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club / Gangsta. / Shimoseka / Oatmeal

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show talkin' about some crazy weather that passed through Chicago this past Sunday and then lets everyone know what goes into their perfect oatmeal for no reason at all; though, it's impossible to deny the deliciousness of their oatmeal. After Marc's oatmeal hour is over, they dive deep into a review of the first season of Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club--this time, they actually watched the first season--and then hit a handful of the usual summer anime favorites.

PSP #227: Free!: Eternal Summer / Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan / Mortal Kombat X / Gen Con

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show talkin' about Gen Con, Lollapalooza, and why they think the anime community is better than the tabletop community. After that, they drown in a preview of Free!: Eternal Summer--which they thought was the first season, then thought and talked about how it's actually the third season; though, it's actually (honestly) the second season, so they're stupid in three different ways. And then, after getting all that stupidity out of the way, they hit a handful of summer anime like always before ending with just a wee bit about Mortal Kombat X.

PSP #226: Hataraku Maou-sama! / Ping Pong The Animation / Gakkou Gurashi! / Q.U.B.E.: Director's Cut

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show with one of his trademark terrible intros before diving into a devilish review of Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer!)--y'all may think The Devil is bad, but you know what they say: "You don't really know The Devil until you see him working at McRonald's..." After that there review, Marc previews Ping Pong The Animation, hits a bunch of summer anime while going off on some tangent about spoilers, then ends with an almost-review of Q.U.B.E.: Director's Cut.

PSP #225: Barakamon / Danchigai / makuranodanshi / Victor Vran

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show with a review of the anime Barakamon--a super kawaii show about a famous caligrapher who "takes a break" on a small island after punching a critic (who's old and uses a cane) right in the face (IN THE F-U-C-ACE!), gradually changing in many ways as he spends more and more time with the quirky locals. After that there review, Marc checks out a few new shorts that, let's just say, are intended for an audience that Marc doesn't belong to; and then, after that bit of weirdness, Marc hits a few games--including one he can't talk about (and makes sure y'all know he can't talk about it) and just a wee bit more of Victor Vran--before calling it a night. Speaking of nights, here's to hoping y'all have lovely ones.

My Love/Hate Relationship with Himouto! Umaru-chan

Oh, Himouto! Umaru-chan, I love you...

...but I hate you, too.

If y'all haven't been watching Himouto! Umaru-chan--one of the many new Summer series--let me give you a brief description: brother lives with teenage sister; sister is perfect and amazing and just the best when not at home; when at home, however, sister is an incredibly deformed--shrinks to roughly the size of a normal human head--super-otaku who manipulates the hell out of her brother to get whatever she wants; brother, while he may verbally complain, always gives in; the end.

Ok, my description probably sucked, but Himouto! Umaru-chan is quite the ridiculous show that revolves around a girl who has two very different sides--a seemingly perfect public face and the exact opposite when in the privacy of her own home--and is quite kawaii, regardless of which face she's showing. I love watching Umaru transition between an almost-idol and the most annoying, demanding little sister anyone could ever not hope for; however, my love of this dies about halfway into every episode--the two that have been released at the time of this writing--because, when I hit the halfway point, I start becoming annoyed with her terribly annoying nature as if I was her brother, forced to deal with her because, well, family is family and sometimes you just have to deal with it. Except she's not my sister, I'm not her brother, and I can turn off the show whenever I want, so, what I am supposed to do?

PSP #224: Rolling☆Girls / Shimoseka / Himouto! Umaru-chan / Poly Bridge / Victor Vran

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show with a review of the anime Rolling☆Girls--a very vibrant and colorful series about a group of girls rollin' around a future Japan, attempting to broker peace between the various kooky nations--and then hits a whole lot of currently airing anime--like the still-delightful Shimoseka and the still-boring Classroom☆Crisis. After anime-ing it out for quite the good little while, Marc delves into a few video games, including the not-good-but-good-enough R.B.I. Baseball 2015.

PSP #223: Skyhill / Toradora! / Gangsta. / Monster Musume

In today's episode, Marc starts off the show with a preview of the upcoming point-and-click, survival roguelike, Skyhill, which still has a few months to cook, but is already showing quite a bit of promise. After surviving their time with Skyhill, Marc talks about a handful of anime, from Toradora!--which they're almost finished with--to Gangsta.--which continues to be great--to Monster Musume--which continues being...something.

PSP #222: Sword Art Online (Season 1) / Toradora! / Anime Roundup / Video Games

In today's episode, Marc starts off with a review of the first season of Sword Art Online and, inevitably, compares it to the first season of Log Horizon because that's just what people do--where do y'all fall with the whole, Sword Art Online vs. Log Horizon debate? After that, Marc previews Toradora! and goes through a bunch of Summer anime in rapid succession. And, finally, when they get all that anime out of their system, they go over a bit of what they've been playing, including games about goats and farming. Cheers and enjoy the show!
