So, what is this post all about? Well, it should pretty straightforward, but, if there's any confusion, this is where I'll be talking about a handful of Kickstarter projects each week, focusing on a few projects that recently launched (what a surprise, eh!). Will I be focusing only on projects in need of funding? No, I will simply be focusing on projects that interest me, regardless of whether they've only raised $5 or raised ten times that of their original goal; though, most projects will likely not be funded in 24 hours unless it's coming from an established publisher/Kickstarter-er. Anyway, I think it's about time I got to the actual projects, eh.
*Note: Some of these were launched over a week ago, but it's been a while since I wrote up anything about Kickstarter, so I'm including some campaigns that are relatively recent, but not brand new.
- Recently launched Kickstarter campaigns...duh.

I know what it's like to pitch an idea to a company, trying to condense so much into a few minutes, and it's usually pretty stressful; however, it can also be a lot of fun to test your creativity and I'm hoping But Wait, There's More!--a game about being the best TV pitch person you can be--is more fun than stressful. The setup is simple; you select a product and then select two features--one selected by you and one selected randomly--and, after you (and everyone else) give your 30-second pitch, y'all secretly vote for your favorite one of the round. That's it and that's all...really, there's nothing more.

I am a huge fan of rogue-like video games and their random, risk-heavy nature, so, any time I see a board game calling itself rogue-like, I immediately become interested. Pocket Dungeon Quest is one such game and, unlike other games with rogue-like elements, it looks like it will play awfully similar to classic rogue-like video games--like, well, Rogue--just in board game form--which isn't a bad thing in my book. Will Pocket Dungeon Quest be able to capture everything great about rogue-like video games in board game form? I don't know, but I'm willing to give it a shot. My one worry: it may be too much like Rogue.

I'm not much of a burger eater, but, if you make a game with great art and design, well, I'm open to the idea of being a burger builder and that's just what this game is about; I mean, it is called Burger Builder after all. Anyway, there's not much to Burger Builder--essentially, you have a hand of ingredients to manage, different types of burgers to build and, when all is said and done, whoever made the best burgers (scored the most points) wins--so, if you like simple card games, check out this game. And I must reiterate, the art and design is fantastic.

Anyway, that's it and that's all for this week's edition of Kickstarter picks. If you have any thoughts about the projects mentioned or want to highlight a project not mentioned above, leave a comment below--I'm always interested in seeing what other's think about various projects and what projects interest others.
