PSP #343: Angel Beats! and Grave of the Fireflies

Marc takes out just a little bit of time to talk about a few anime this episode, first reviewing Angel Beats! and its first OVA, "Stairway to Heaven," and then follows that with a little discussion about Grave of the Fireflies and why they think some of the criticism it receives is unwarranted (and why they really like Isao Takahata). Anyway, that's it and that's all, cheers and enjoy the show (and be sure to check out Pixelated Radio later today).

*Tenshi does in fact mean "angel," so that's what all that nonsense was about. I was confused because they didn't use "Tenshi" in the subtitles and translated it to "Angel" instead, which they don't usually do with names, but when you think about it, it makes sense to translate it. In short, I'm stupid and that's all there is to it.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy jam on Amazon too.

The Talking Points:

  • Angel Beats (+OVA)
  • Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies)
  • And more...
